Spike meets Buffy and somewhere midway into the series instead of trying to kill her, he falls for her. Although she never quite admits it, she has feelings for him. To be worthy of her he even goes on a quest to regain his soul. His problem is he gains his soul but still loses the girl.

It seems supernatural couples always have extra baggage when it comes to romance. At the start of the series Elena was in love with Stefan Salvatore, Damon’s younger brother. Both brothers were vampires. The triangle morphs over time and Elena becomes a vampire. Their romance has more twist and turns than the Amalfi Drive.

Game of Thrones has so many bad romances that it is hard to settle on just one. That’s right, his sister, and I don’t mean non blood related step sisters and brothers like the Brady Bunch. Cersei is the more bloodthirsty of the pair but as the series begins with Jaime pushing a child out a window to cover their illicit affair, you can know that he isn’t far behind her in the tainted love department.

Ward and Skye or Ward and May. Either way it is bad romance personified. At the beginning of the series Grant Ward was the handsome, square-jawed, by the book agent who seemed to be smitten by badass Melinda May. May wants to keep their relationship purely physical, he is pushing for more. Then Skye appears and Ward acts as her mentor/sensei. Skye looks up to him and wants to make him look outside the rulebook. Unfortunately he goes w-a-y outside that book and goes so dark that it looks like no decent female will ever want to have anything to do with him again. Now he is trying to redeem himself to regain her affection…or is it just a ruse?

Now if you are Dyson who is a werewolf shapeshifter that might be much of an obstacle but there are many other problems to keep them apart. Lauren is a human and while she works with the fae and has a pretty good idea of which end is up, her fate could not be a good one when her lover is Bo. It is a tale of “Fae-nted Love”
