Saying Goodbye to Harry Potter

Deathly Hallows part 2 is a film I both longed to see yet hesitated to rush in to the theatre on the day it opened because it marked the end of a beloved era. For those of us that read Deathly Hallows on the evening it was first released there are thankfully no jarring surprises. Nothing to mar the legacy. Great attention was given to the sets and production. It was worth the extra money I paid to see it in 3D and the special effects were well done but this is not a film about technology and you can see it in 2D and enjoy the film fully.

Both Jim and Patricia deserve the success and I’m happy for them and so very glad to be one of their many fans able to spread the word to more and more like-minded readers so that they, too, can discover what we already know. Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden and Mercedes “Mercy” Thompson are here to stay and for good reason. The readers come away caring about these characters and their stories. When the last word is read and the story ends, fans are left wanting more. 
The title might suggest that I pulled this book from the bottom of the bargain barrel. Instead what I’ve found is a sharply-written, intelligent, and highly entertaining novel. It has clever dialogue and endearing characters along with something I don’t find very often in this genre.
