In Season Seven of Supernatural, the main villains are the Leviathans. Aren’t the Leviathans mentioned somewhere in the Bible?

Dear Pat,
Yes, in the Old Testament, Leviathan is a sea monster. In the Book of Job, it is said of Leviathan, “He looks down over all that are haughty, he is king over all that are proud.” In Isaiah, it is said that Leviathan will be killed at the end of time. (Evidently, Dick Roman’s timetable got sped up on that last bit.) In modern parlance, “leviathan” has come to be synonymous with “whale.”
